Channel-Port aux Basques to the Lodge

Pulling into Channel-Port aux Basques.

It turned out to be a pretty eventful day. The weather when we got off the ferry was terrible. Heavy rain and transport trucks on the Trans-Canada Highway lead to lots of spray and dicey riding conditions.

The weather slowly let up and we started to get some sunshine, but then my travelling companion's motorcycle started having serious difficulties. Significant clouds of white smoke at slow speeds, alarmingly high fuel consumption, and lack of motor power on the highway.

Exhausted from our poorly planned ferry ride and despite a very sick Harley, we made it to the Lodge. A much looked foward to meal!
